Is it frivolous?

In my videos I am ofter putting on make up. This is for two reasons. The first is because I am actually multi-tasking and usually getting ready for the day while also making the video. The second is because a video of myself just talking would actually be boring.

It takes great skill to hold attention on social media for over a minute just with the spoken word alone. Adding some secondary points of interest is what I like to do to keep a video progressing and get the core message across.

In the comments I very frequently get asked about the make up. Some people apologize for asking by saying things like, “This may seem frivolous but what color is that blush?”

Frivolous?

No. Make up is not frivolous.

Make up is art.

A bare face is also beautiful and I love my days when I am make up free just as much as the days I have a full face on, but for me, make up is self expression and art.
